Stefhanie Loaiza Sanchez (she/her/hers)
Stefhanie is a Master’s student originally from Costa Rica. She earned her B.S. (Licenciatura) in Food Engineering from the University of Costa Rica.
Her research interest focuses in helping industry to ensure food safety. She is currently working on assessing the risk of Salmonella contamination in preharvest poultry and developing a model to evaluate how weather conditions impact the effectiveness of cleaning and disinfection strategies in transportation trucks.
In her free time, Stef enjoys having a good challenge, dancing and trying new food products.
