Dr. Stasiewicz works to help companies, regulators, and consumers make better food safety decisions using statistics, computer modelling, and innovative lab work. The broad goal is to help the food system feed more people without them getting sick.

He earned his Ph.D., and M.S., in Food Science at Cornell University and both a B.S. in Biosystems and Agriculture Engineering and a B.A. in Philosophy from Michigan State University.

He also enjoys authentic food, board games, running, and travel.
